Date Night in Provo: Pho Sure Fictionist

Three really glorious things for this date night.
Pho, Rooster and Fictionist.

This weekend happens to be the five year anniversary for the best local music venue, Velour. In celebration Corey Fox has invited the best of the Provo music scene to perform and he's saving the best for last, Fictionist on Saturday the 15th.

So here's what you want to do. According to Yahoo weather, Saturday night looks to be freezing and wet. You'll want to be warm and dry and this is how you are going to do it, start out at Rooster for a steaming pot of pho (pronounced like, phuh, not like, well, you know, nevermind). If you haven't yet tried pho, my friend, it's time.

Wikipedia
Phở (Vietnamese pronunciation: is a Vietnamese noodle soup, usually served with beef or chicken. The soup includes noodles made from rice and is often served with basil, lime, bean sprouts, and peppers that are added to the soup by the consumer.

Importantly, you will need to add drops of  liquid fire to the broth in the form of Rooster sauce (for which the restaurant was named) this should be sufficient for your inner heater to kick start.

Feeling light headed? Fancy free?

Walk only a few steps down to Velour. For eight bucks (and eight more for your lady friend) you will be invited to enjoy the stirring sounds of Fictionist live. And seeing Fictionist live at Velour is unworldly. I wish I were just throwing big, fat, phrases around here, but I am not. It's that great.

At their last show? I felt the spirit.

Have fun.

I am C. Jane Kendrick and contrary to popular belief, you will not be the "oldest person at Velour" just trust me.  You can contact me personally at cjanemail @ gmail.com or leave comments on my facebook page and if you are on twitter you can find my tweets here. But no pressure.
