Are you like me? Do you remember when Lehi was just home of Lehi Roller Mills and the place where they filmed Footloose? A plot of town you watch pass on your way to Salt Lake?
And now suddenly all your friends live in Lehi, reside in newish houses, and drive white SUVs? Plus they all have children and buy annual passes to Thanksgiving Point and are consta-blogging about the Tulip Festival (accompanied by enviable photos of cuteness) or their FHE to the Holiday Lights?
You know what I am talking about, yes?
Provonians, we can't have this.
We can't have Utah County--especially Lehi!--thinking we are behind the times. I've got a plan to make sure Provo stays on top, follow these directions:
1.) Buy a white SUV.
2.) Tear down your old 70's style split level and build something with gables and iron gated balconies.
3.) Enter my drawing to win an annual pass to Thanksgiving Point.
Here is how:
- Leave a comment on this post about how you would use your Thanksgiving Point membership
- Link to this post on your blog and be entered twice (leave a second comment telling us you blogged about it).
- A winner will be chosen at random on January 8th midnight time.
Also, this giveaway is open to everybody.
Even Lehi.
Good luck!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 320 Newer› Newest»I'm first! Nice! My kids would make me take them to the dinosaur museum weekly... but I wouldn't mind a bit! Great giveaway :)
I would give this to my sister-in-law who lives in Provo with her four darling, darling children. And maybe when I am in town, I would invite myself along.
Hi CJane! I am entering your great giveaway to give it away to my sweet sister who actually lives out there! She is soon to welcome her second child and how cool would I be if I gave her this pass as her welcome baby gift?!
Oh the photos I could take!!! My children are almost grown and I need any precious kodak moment I could get.
alright, I used to get a pass back when I had one child under two....oh how things change. I'm a Lehite with 3 under 5 and could use some love.
Love THKSPt!
Im not blesses to live in the beautiful state of Utah, or the town of Provo, but one of my bestfriends does. Isn't better to give than recive?
me me me!
Oh, we would love this! My littler kids have never been to the dinosaur museum. I used to take my now teenagers to walk around the gardens all the time when they were little (and everything was free).
I would go to Thanksgiving Point with my grandkids, who, by the way, live in Lehi in a house with gables and iron gated balconies (http://response-box.com/rgb/2009/12/new-video-footage/), and have their own passes to Thanksgiving point.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised when my son and his wife buy a white SUV this month to accommodate their fourth child arriving in January... :-/
I'm not gonna lie...I'd use it for me (and my children).
I would actually GO to TGP when its not Two Dollar Tuesday with the million and gillions of people. :)
What a great giveaway!
If I won, since I live in Georgia, I would give the prize to one of my dear friends in Utah.
(the tricky part will be deciding WHICH friend. :)
Oh my, with 2 little California boys cooped up in the UT winter... we certainly could use something to break us out of hiding! By the way, just made the switch from Orem to Provo... and it's true what they say: Provo girls have more fun!
Although I live in Northern Davis County (or Idaho to all of you Salt Lake and Utah county people), I would love an annual pass. My sister-in-law lives in Highland and we could meet up in Lehi, the cousins could play, and we could have a great time at the dinosaur museum or playing at the arc in summer time. Pick Me! I lived in Provo for a very short time in 1995...right by the Reams. Not an ideal place to live. Emily
We love Thanksgiving Point! My kids love to ride the horses in the summer. We love to go see the animals. We have yet to go to the dinosaur museum so that would be at the top of the list if I won!
My in-laws live in Lehi. We get together on weekends to do family activities. We're always looking for free or discounted activities that will please the kids and the adults at the same time. Thanksgiving Point is a great family place!
I think I should win because it would be so funny to let me win, because I live in Illinois. So what would I do with the pass? I'd brag about it to all my Ut transplant friends(and trust me there are lots in my town)then I would brag to all my fellow CJane fans that I won something from you (I'm such a good friend) then I would send the pass to my sister who lives in Lindon and drives a white MINIVAN!! It's been awhile since I have bragged abot anything so please pick me!!
I would use my pass to go to TgP with all my Lehi neighbors. This could totally help me fit in since I don't drive a white SUV...
I would open my kids up to the fact that there's other places in Utah besides Ogden and SLC. Seriously. We're so sheltered over here. Yup. That's why I should win.
What is not to love about Thanksgiving Point. I personally think that the best part about a trip to do anything there is the loads of ice cream you can buy at the restaurant after, oh and the interior decorating heaven that is in the little shops.
I would get so much use out of this! My poor son hates to be cooped up inside all day and with the poor air that comes with winter us asthmatics can't go outside any. Please pick me, we're so bored!
I would take my kids up there all the time. My 3 year old LOVES dinosaurs, so she would love going while her older sister is at kindergarten and she feels left out.
i would take kade and add to the dino museum. they love that place.
So, I live in Lehi but my SUV is black and my split level was built in the 90's. Early 90's and we have the forrest green and mauve color scheme to prove it.
But. I have not yet discovered the wonder that is the Thanksgiving Point annual pass. Please pick me. This could be my ticket to winter time sanity.
With this pass I would take my three very busy boys to the dinosaur museum. They could use some discovery time.
love this museum! We have gone a couple of times and would love to go again. The last time we went was for my daughter's birthday.
We would love to go as often as we want!
We just recently moved back to Utah after being gone for five years. Every time we drive past Thanksgiving Point my children beg to go there. I would love to take them there for fun little daughter mommy lunches and learn more about gardening together this spring.
Um, I would love a pass to get my 5 kids out of the house. None of them are in school yet. Yes, I said none of them. Preschool doesn't yet count as real school, does it? Having 5 kids in 2 1/2 years makes it hard to get out anywhere...and it is too expensive to do anything...:)
My 20 month old is OBSESSED with dinosaurs so I'm sure we would get a lot of use out of the museum! But I would be sure to take advantage of everything they offer.
My family and I would love love love a pass to Thanksgiving point! The barn is our favorite. You can't go wrong with a petting zoo, pony rides and feeding animals out of the palm of your hand.
I LOVE the Tulip Festival. I am moving from SLC to Saratoga Springs in the next couple of months and would use this all the time. Thanks C Jane!
I would take my five darling children to the dinosaur museum once a month. I would take myself to the tulip festival once a week!
I have a 4-year-old girl who is obsessed with dinosaurs! A pass would absolutely make her YEAR! Great Giveaway.
My daughter would love to go to the petting zoo. Every day. All day long. And hello, can you say "Scottish Festival"??
I live in Lehi, but I drive a 95 Civic-I think that right there earns me an extra chance to win or something. I'm such an outcast.
We LOVE The Farm. We could live there---which explains my sons behaviour most of the time.
I wrote about this on my blog. And I thought of another reason why we REALLY need the annual pass...I went to T-point this summer during their tight wad Tuesdays or was it Two Buck Tuesdays? Anyway so did EVERYONE in Utah County. We stood in line for over an hour to get into the Dino museum. Once inside we could barely move our stroller. I blogged about it and one person commented if you had an annual pass like us you wouldn't have to go on Tight Wad Tuesdays. You could go anytime and avoid those long lines. :) So come on you know you want to pick me.
I have 3 sons. My world revolves around dinosaurs, animals that smell and the outdoors. I'd love to have the chance for my sons to touch, roam and explore in someone else's domain so that my house has a chance to be clean for the day while we're gone and I have a chance to smell the tulips instead of what they usually leave for me:)
I'm a BYU student, so I don't have kids, but I think *I* would enjoy it more than any kid. I have always wanted to go to the tulip festival and the movies and the museum. Have you seen that they have art classes there? and I love the shops and restaurants there - BUT I'm typically too poor for all of this.
AND Lehi's got nothing on Provo because we don't buy white SUV's, people live in houses with character and the community isn't about being cookie cutter.... but yeah, maybe the passes are a good idea.
My little boy is in love with dino's and the petting zoo...I won my WEDDING at the Bridal Extravaganza held at Thanksgiving point and I don't live ANYWHERE NEAR Lehi:)
Plus, I am bored. I spend my days let Mickey Mouse Clubhouse play in the background while I hang on your every word and link to your ever suggested place.
Pick me. Please.
My office has no windows. From eight to five every day, I'm stuck in a fluorescent twilight. I would use the pass to get some actual sunlight so I could produce this apparently important vitamin D everybody's been talking about so that my wonderfully patient husband doesn't have to get mascara all over his nice shirts during my uncontrollable hour-long crying fits at night.
And then maybe I can get him to trade in his white van for an SUV. Did I mention he's 24 and childless?
We would not have to fight the masses on two dollar tuesdays if we had a pass! That would be fabulous!
I would use the pass to entertain my extremely wiggly children. What two year old boy does not love the farm country and dinosaurs?
I would give the pass to my parents and my kids so they could go together and get sick from eating chocolate coveted gummy bears they snuck into the dinosaur museum.
Have you ever run through the gardens early in the morning? Just you and your kicks? Blaring a little Wyclef Jean on your ipod? Feeling the dew seep through your shoes, deeply inhaling the intoxicating aroma of the millions of flowers?
I've done it. 3 times. And it was WONDERFUL. (my friend who is the proud owner of a membership snuck me in). I'd LOVE to win the pass so I could continue doing that. Then after I get home from running, I'd get cleaned up and load my sweet children in the car and take them back to that glorious place we call Thanksgiving Pointe and let them explore, learn, enjoy and love everything about it.
And I'm sure that some nights I would leave the children with a sitter and go on a hot date with my husband. We'd probably eat at the cafe...or maybe step it up and eat at Harvest, then hold hands as we walk down to the movie theater.
C-Jane; I really want to win! I'm feelin' good about this one. :) Muchas gracias
I love Thanksgiving Points Gardens. Last year my husband took me on a long overdue date to the gardens. I had never been before and he is a garden lover. We had been struggling with a child being in and out of Primary Childrens hospital and he felt I needed a break. They have a "secret garden" there. It is a wonderful peaceful place. After just sitting...I was renewed.
This is what I would use the pass for. Personal and couples renewal whenever I need it. ;)
I actually live near Lehi (Saratoga Springs) and I have a white SUV. And I would love to take my son to the Dinosaur museum. He loves it there.
My husband just finished school- we would use it to spend some quality family time getting to know eachother again. And my girlies love The Point!
I love Thanksgiving Point and I would love to be able to have our family go there often! I'm already dreaming about the Fhe's, Daddy-Daughter dates, and other date nights we could have there! Thanks CJane!
Oh, I have been wanting one of these for the longest time, just can't seem to fork out the money. After being inside so much this winter, we are ready to get OUT!
We always just go to visit the farm. I would love to see the tulip festival. I bet that smells better anyway...
My husband, 3 boys, and I would get mucho good use out of this baby. Keeping my fingers crossed....
I love the gardens and my kids love the museum. This ould be great!
After a long day at work I would take my little daughter for some quality time together.
i would go once a week. how awesome is thanksgiving point. i love the garden and my two year old boy loves animals!
my kids ask me DAILY if we can go to the dinosaur museum. i took them once... a year ago. and they are 3 and 4 years old. how do they remember? also, they live for the pony rides at the farm. also, i've never been to see the tulips. also, my husband lives for movies. so we could really get a lot of use out of a season pass (and with the money we'd be saving, we could even rent a white SUV for trips to the point so we could blend in with the locals and not tarnish lehi's reputation by showing up in our silver peely paint minivan- ick.)
This pass would more than help me fulfill my long time dream of hiking the Y. My husband attended BYU and I have ever since dreamed of hiking to the top of the Y and over looking the city of Provo in awe and amazement. How would this help you ask? Well it would bridge the gap between my home in South Jordan and Provo- I would take my pass and say "Hey kids we can do it! We can go to Lehi now- no longer are we confined to outings South only on $2 Tuesday. No! We must see the world- see beyond the end of Bangerter Highway. We would turn right out of the Thanksgiving Point parking lot and head South- to Provo. We would stop to buy cupcakes in honor of Stephanie and then head on to the mountain where we would hike until we reached the top and exclaim "Glory Glory" in honor of all pioneers and provonians that have come before us. We would look out upon the city and fall in love, perhaps move there and work at the Leatherby's. Yes I beleive that this pass would be the beginning of something great for me and my family. Thank you- Amanda Shaw
I blogged about it too! Thanks for the opportunity. Love your blogs all three.
I would use this pass to go on dates with my sweet husband. He's a kid at heart and would love the dinosaur museum and we would both love going to all the events that they have.
i would use this to take my hubby and i on free dates- and maybe let my children drive the thanksgiving point people crzy instead of me. . .
I blogged about it!
What a great giveaway! I may not live in Provo (Sandy gal here) but I'd love to take the kids to Thanksgiving Point more often. We've never been to the Tulip Festival and I'm dying to go! Thanks!
I would take my kids to the Dino museum often; they're always begging to go, but it's a bit out of our budget and $2 Tuesday is just too crowded!
I'm getting married this year, and my fiance and I are so loyal to Thanksgiving point we have chosen it as our honeymoon location. We already have the hotel reservations. :-) So I would LOVE to win a year pass, and would use it for visiting the museum and especially the gardens.
That would be an awesome thing to have. I havne't had the money to do anything fun like that. I would love to be able to spend some days in the dinosaur museum with a bunch of little ones.
I need this. Son One loves the dinosaur museum.
I would love to win this. We used to live down in Utah County (now up in Davis County) and loved to go to Farm Country when we (I) had to get out of the house!! My kids always ask when we can go again and also to go see there old friends. This would be a wonderful excuse to go down and visit again. Thanks for the chance to win!
When I lived in Provo we loved going to the Tulip Festival but I think I would appreciate Thanksgiving Point much more with a toddler in tow- my friends that live in Draper always go on about how fun it is there! :)
We've had a rough couple of years in our family. I would use this pass to give my husband and I some much-needed date time.
Plus, the place just looks like fun and I've not been yet since we moved here last year.
There's no way I'm giving up my adorable red Honda Civic Hatchback for some white SUV but I'll take you up on the pass to Thanksgiving Point! ;)
I would wear new paths in the gardens come spring time! My kids love it there as do I! The dino museum isn't bad either. :)
I would use it to take my sweet little 1-year-old-in-a-few-days on a birthday outing, plus fun outings her whole 2nd year!
OOOh, what fun! I love Thanksgiving Point and don't get to go often enough. If you pick me, I would give it to my brother and his five kids who live in Spanish Fork. Need I say more? They need a getaway! And it would actually be my very sweet sister-in-law who would be taking the 5 kids. Thanks for sharing!
Oh please pick me so my 3 kids can tell all of their friends about their Super COOL mom that says YES! everytime they ask to go to Thanksgiving Point.
Oh, my kids would love to see the dinosaurs and animals anytime. I would also love to finally see the gardens!
1. I drive a white "granny-van" inherited from my grandmother-in-law. She doesn't know we call it a granny-van, she thinks we call it "Wendy" (because it's a Windstar).
2. I live in a small home built in the 1950s in Provo, but we are doing out best to modernize it.
3. Regardless, I would like to enter your giveaway. Thanksgiving Point is a great place to let your children run around, and with a small house, I need a place like that to escape to all months of the year!
I would use the pass for my husand and I do have something free and fun to do since we are trying to save up for a little one!! Thanks Cjane!
I would go to the Dinosaur museum all the time, just like I always wish I could afford to do! The largest dinosaur museum in the world you know. And also, I would take my wee cousins to Dinosnorzz. If you haven't heard of this, look it up. It is the best thing ever. I got to sleep under the brachiosaur.
So my hubby and i have no kids but i think we would enjoy the dino musuem. I want to DinoFest back in the day when i was in high school. Would be so excited to take pics. We have never been to Provo. FIELD TRIP here we come!
I would use the pass to go to Thanksgiving Point (duh?) I'm there all the time anyway, might as well win a free pass from the awesome CJane
I would go for the Tulip festival, hit the Dinosaur museum with the kids, and my kids also love the petting zoo!
I don't live in Utah, but if I won I would give it one of my good friends and her cute kids that live there. I know they would love it!
Well, since I don't live in "Zion" anymore, I would give it to my sister or brother and let their families use it:)
My 3-year-old is obsessed with the dinosaur museum (he was born at a dinosaur gas station, can you blame him?!) but I think he's only been twice! So we would be there a lot. And the gardens! Oh the gardens!
I would love this pass! I would go to the tulip festival and take my new little guy to marvel at the dinosaurs!! This would be so perfect!
I live in Heber but we head over to Lehi quite regularly with my husband to go to Cabelas. If you pick me, my kids and I could get out of going to Cabelas and go to Thanksgiving Point instead. It would be a wonderful change of scenery, plus my three boys LOVE the Dino Museum.
I would use it for some family time. I love going to Thanksgiving point...they have so much to offer. Thanks for the chance to win.
My mom and sister had memberships last year and sometimes they took me with them! It was so fun. Now that my little girl is big enough to enjoy it, I would love to have my own membership. We would probably see the farm animals the most and go to both gardens a lot!
I blogged, I blogged!!!
Thanks for the info! My son would adore that Museum of Ancient Life. I've got it bookmarked. Love this website, even though I live in southern California!
I'm entering too! Mostly because I've wanted to go to that stinkin' Tulip festival for the past decade and never made it.
I would use it for the kids...and me!
Aww, I love Thanksgiving Point. It is where my husband took me to dinner before he proposed, and where we had our wedding luncheon. I also took my little brother there to see the beautiful lights when he came to BYU. Such wonderful memories. TGP will always be special to us. I now live in Mesa, Arizona (My BIL and SIL used to teach your niece Jane in Sunbeams!) but I still have a little brother in Provo. He and his wife just had their second baby, and they're starving students. I would LOVE to brighten their day by giving them a pass to TGP. Oh, please, pick me! pick me! I'd love to send some cheer their way. (BTW, my real name is Jenny...heehee...yeffinerp is a nickname one of my funny brothers gave me when I was a sophomore in college.)
Oh my! This a great start point for 2010... Thank you very much for this giveaway!!! I'm entering on behalf my bro in-law and his family who lives down there (I'm in TX.) Anyways, my family had been at this Museum every single time we visited Utah and my in-laws always did pay our tickets so if if you picked me it will be kind of a payback/thank you to them for their timeless kindness (plus my sister in law is a teacher - she'd be going there as much as she want it to... which is a lot!)
3 kids age 5 and under and 1 on the way. I would use a pass to Thanksgiving Point for SANITY!
My daughter bugs me about once a week to go to the dinosaur museum. Too expensive for that often. With a season pass I could take her as much as I wanted.
I love a lot about Thanksgiving P.,but I would use it to personally bribe my children with dinosaurs, live animals, fun play grounds and yummy ice cream to behave just a little bit better. It would make me one very happy soul.
-Autumn
What a great giveaway! We would sure enjoy this. My 4 and 2 year old LOVE the dinosaur museum and also they loved the petting zoo this summmer.
Fingers crossed!
bitsybling.com at gmail.com
I love taking my son to the dinosaur museum, the farm, and getting ice cream at the Deli. We can only go so often because it does add up! We would love love love to put a annual pass to good use!!
Ok so I have 2 little twin boys who love more than anything to run and run free! They unfortunately do not get this living in our wonderfully small townhome. So I would take them to the "beloved gardens" you so highly speak of and let them run to their hearts content!!! And my 5 year old little girl loves, all things flowers and beautiful.
Oh how I would love to have an annual pass!! I have two little ones who would also enjoy. We pass Thanksgiving point often, my little 3 year old is always pointing out the large dinosaur, wanting to go! How great would it be to go when ever we wanted. . . SO GREAT!!!
My girls would love to go to Thanksgiving point any time, since we have only gone when we can tag a long with friends that have a pass so we can get the discount. Too cheap to pay full price, and many time too cheap to pay the discount price too. But be sure we would get good use out of a FREE pass!
Oh...I am so in on this one! I have been thinking for a week now about whether or not I should fork out the money for this. I have a two year old who IS a dinosaur-so why not let him see his own kind more often. WAit....maybe he'll see they are extinct and decide he should no longer act like a dinosaur! Yes....I will cross my fingers!
I totally blogged about this!!!
I shouldn't admit this....but we are trying to sell our house in south county to move north county....the current market is kind of icky and we are hopeful....maybe winning an annual pass would be a sign??? How about that...your angel banner would have a reason to live on!
Oh...and it's my 15th anniversary tomorrow and we are celebrating by cleaning out our garage for the move! So....a little extra cheer would make this one even more memorable!
I would love this pass for my two boys. My 3 yr old loves dinos, and his little brother will one day I am sure. We would go all the time!
With three young boys, we have definately made it to the Museum of Ancient Life and Farm Country, but I would surly enjoy a stroll around the gardens.
By the way, you forgot to mention the Lehi Pool. It is a favorite facility of our family and it certainly beats the "ghetto pool of Springville" (as I like to refer to it).
Oh who wouldn't love a freebie these days?! I would take my 4 kiddletts to the farm and the dinosaur museum! Thanks for the drawing :)
I have a two-year old boy who loves dinos and who's world is about to be rocked as he welcomes a baby sister in May. He is the only grandchild on my side and the only in-state grandchild on the other. He IS the center of attention. It would be nice if he had a place to go with his dad while is mom sits at home practiaclly shirtless all day feeding a new baby. Because we all know nursing means staying home! He would love to get out of the house and this would be the best activity!!
First things first! The dinosaur musuem that my boys fleetingly see as we fly by on the freeway and with which I torture them by not taking them there.
My kids would love going to the dinosaur museum! I would love going to see all the beautiful blooms!
Okay so I don't live in Utah county, but I was born in PROVO and went to school there...so I SHOULD win!! I have 12, yes 12 nephews under 10 and I would love to take them to the dinosaur museum to earn some aunt brownie points!! Not too mention I love, love the tulip festival. Tulips are my favorite flower....I've even told family they need to be on my coffin when I kick the bucket (which won't be for years and years)
my husband is a lehite, (though we live in provo,) and neither one of us have been there for much. one movie about fish on the 3D screen and one trip through the festive lights cause his work took us all. we'd love to explore it more!
I love the gardens, but somehow we always get there the week _after_ they were at their peak. If we had this pass we could go all spring and summer long!
I posted on my blog: http://loveyalyn.blogspot.com/
I would take my 2 adorable nieces to enjoy the dinosaurs and flowers and changing seasons as often as possible. Also... maybe take my engagement/bridal pictures there! pick me pick me!
My little boy LOVES the farm and maybe we could venture out to the Dinosaur museum if we had a pass. I would love to push my new double stroller through the gardens this spring too. Having 2 kids is double the fun but somehow triple the work. How is that? Wishing you luck with your two (soon).
We love Thanksgiving Point. We would go to the farm and gardens all summer long, visit the dino museum during the cold winter months, and make sure we hit all the "extras" like the Christmas lights, Scarecrow Festival, etc!
[email protected]
if i was to win i would use my pass on my now 2.5 month son. we always drive by thanksgiving point and i have always wanted to go see the tulips and the festival of lights etc. i would love for my son to have this experience. even though he wont remember but i will.
[email protected]
Phew. That last line saved me. I'm a Lehi gal and don't drive a white SUV. I happen to live just a couple minutes from Thanksgiving Point and with 4 kids under the age of 7 I think I could put that annual pass to use quite effectively.
p.s. did you know that leaving a comment on your blog is really intimidating? I just can't write as cleverly as you do.
I linked on my blog: http://doozer7.blogspot.com/
Oh, wow. I would love to win this! I would use this season pass to burn off my twin 2 1/2 year old boys' energy! And maybe to help me save up for that white SUV. ;)
stoker.lindsay at gmail.com
Hey CJane! I am not quite Lehi cool. I have a Blue SUV and I live in Eagle Mountain (Lehi's Step-Sister). I would utilize this pass on so many levels (preschool field trips, save mom from crazy days...)
I blogged about it too!
I'd love to win--my boys love the dinosaur museum and we've only been able to go once when it was $2 Tuesday. We also love Farm Country.
I would use this pass to get the heck out of my house more often! My babies and I have cabin fever.
Thanksgiving Point is the perfect place to let my crazy kids run wild for a little while - totally worth the drive. (Even though Lehi smells like manure and makes my allergies go as crazy as my kids. I heart Provo!)
I have dino-crazed boys that need to educate the 3 year old little lady in the house on what it's all about!
Oooh, Well until we move back to Utah, we would gladly relinquish this pass to our lucky cousins who do in live in Utah. Anyone want to hire an accountant in the fall?
How fun is this contest? This blog is awesome. I would take the kids living in the women's shelter. I work there and the Mom's are stressed out and the kids are stir crazy and need fun things to do. It would be a good time.
I would use it to take my 3 kids to the dinosaur museum and the farm, and definitely use it at the gardens! I am a florist, and the Thanksgiving Point garden is one of my favorite places!
Love Thanksgiving Point! I would go to the gardens all summer long! I LOVE their gardens. Of course, the museum is cool too!
We don't just want this, we NEED this! My 4 kiddos make dinosaur growling sounds everytime we drive by . . . with the pass, we could fill the museum with our growls!
I would go to the farm and get a pony ride, AND go to the tulip festival for the first time in my LIFE!
I blogged it too!!!
Thanks
I would use this pass to Bribe the 2 year old running around my house to stop screaming, "leave alone me Mom" and also throw in some bribary for her to leave her fecal matter in the toilet, please.
I also posted a link on my blogular.
I am entering this for my lovely sister who had her first baby boy... he's 1...and active like a machine! Hoping to win!
Oh my what a treat this would be! I would take my husband to Thanksgiving Point all of the time. We would laugh and play all the day long. :) What a joy it would be. Also, I am going to post about it on my regular blog.
oh how we love thanksgiving point! and a pass would be perfect for us, even though i usually spend more in the candy shop than i do on all our entrance fees :)
Oh this post was so funny!!! You hit it right on the nail. That being said my husband, the stay home Daddy, would love this for him and my two little girls. They love the gardens and the farm! Fingers crossed.....we will start looking into buying the white SUV.
There is always so much fun stuff to do at Thanksgiving Point...I would for sure go to the gardens (which I've never been to), go see some movies at the theater, and take my little boy to the dino museum (he's not born yet, and by the end of the year he'll only be 9 mo. so he probably won't care, but it's an excuse to go somewhere fun for me!)
We would LOVE this! My kids love the dinosaur and farm country so we'd definitely be going there lots. We've never been to the gardens, so we'd have to do that too.
After a bad year, financially, for our family, I had to go back to work. I have perpetual mom guilt and wish I could be the mom carpooling my kids to school, the room mom, taking the afternoon to go swimming or hanging out at TG Point . . . the mom I used to be. When school is out (I'm a teacher), I would love to have the annual pass to discover the Dinosaur museum with my daughter and two sons, go to the animal farm to feed the animals, and trek through the tulip gardens (never been). Please, c jane? And, if this isn't a good enough reason, pick me just because we have the same name - Courtney!
I would love this to give as a gift to our dear friends who live very near Thanksgiving Pt. We used to have a pass and loved every minute of it. But we moved:(
I just posted the contest on my blog.
Thanks!
I would use this to entertain my older small child, because I'm about to give birth again. Oh, and today is my birthday so maybe that should give me a boost in the luckiness aspect of things!?
I would take my girls to the dinosaur Museum. They've been begging to go back for a long time, they just love it!
Taking the kiddos to the gardens is my fave.
We'd spend lots of time at the Dinosaur museum and go to the tulip festival (we've never been) and we would love not having to wait until $2 tuesdays in Aug when the whole valley seems to be there. Thanks for the chance to win!
I have always wanted to visit Thanksgiving Point! Sadly, I don't live in Utah, but I would give the pass to my sister-in-law for her 4 awesome kiddos! She's a teacher in Salt Lake and I'm sure she would really enjoy it as well! Thank you for the giveaway!
I would totally go to the dinosaur museum. All. the. time.
Yay giveaway! I wanna go to the dinosaur museum and see all the flowers.
I would take my daughter to ride the horses!
I'd take my dino-obsessed son all the time!
{once upon a time there was a mom, her name was mrs. teranadon....dinosaur train!}
I guess I am one of those dreaded Lehi people! Except, not by birth, I'm originally from the East Coast. Last year we bought an anuual pass and it has since expired. We loved visiting the different places and always took our visiting relatives there to show off what Utah has to offer. We would love to have another pass this year! It definitely comes in handy!
Well, Thanksgiving Point + My girls = True love forever.
That is all.
I would take my people to the dinosaur museum in the winter to get us OUT OF THE FREAKIN' HOUSE and to the splash garden in the summer to keep us cool. And last year when we went to the Tulip Fest all I wanted to do was ditch my family and read a book in the quiet shade. So I would do that. The only reason I got to go last year is because I found someone's purse in a parking lot and she gave me the tickets as a thankyou for hunting her down to return the purse.
We would also go to the farm.
I actually already have a pass (my son is WAY into dinosaurs) but my little sister is moving here this month and her kids are the same ages as mine! This would be FANTASTIC to be able to share with her!
What a great giveaway! Thanks for offering it!
we NEED this pass!!!! My kids BEG me on a weekly if not bi-weekly basis, to go to the dino museum. We used to use our friends for their pass=our discount, but now they don't have it, and we have been DYING to get one!!!! Who doesn't love a dino here, a tulip there, a farm where our kids can ride on mini ponies to their hearts content??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pick moi!
I would take my nieces and nephews there every month. This will surely lock me in as their favorite aunt :)
We're not Lehians by any means, but we LOVE Thanksgiving Point and if the recipients of the seasonal pass, we would definitely get our "money's worth"! Thanks for the opportunity! :)
I would use this pass to keep my sanity in dreary months to come.
So, I'm not gonna lie and say I'd give the pass to someone else...but I'd invite friends to come along when I took my two cute girls there every week (or more often)! :) We've been hoping that Provo would get a children's museum one of these days...so c Jane...you have power in Provo. Let's get to work on that! I'll help out in whatever way possible. :)
Just blogged it! http://findthejoyineachmoment.blogspot.com/2010/01/thanksgiving-pt-giveaway.html
So, my blog is private and mostly only read by me probably...maybe my mom and mother-in-law stop in once in awhile. Anyway, I have a lot more friends that read my stuff on facebook...so I posted a link to this post there...does that work?
I would let my kids wander farm country for hours and then take them to the children's gardens and let them wander for hours more. so that I could wander after them and breathe deeply and try to wrap my mind around the fact that I am going to have 5 kids 6 and under as soon as the twins are born. I could use the sanity this would afford.
Sounds like a blast! If I had this pass, I would ask my husband, who rides the bus to SLC everyday for work, to meet the kids and me at Thanksgiving Point on his way home. We would go to the farm in the Spring to see the baby animals, the main gardens to see the bulbs, the water gardens in the Summer to cool off, the dinosaur museum when it gets really hot so we can have fun and enjoy air-conditioning, to the movie on Saturdays, followed by treats at the ice-cream counter.
My son thinks he is SHARPTOOTH from The Land Before Time....with that said we would def go to the Museum of Ancient Life...over and over!!!
How I would use this incredible offer: (did I really say ''offer")? I would wake up extra early (since I live downtown)to get myself ready, so I can look as fabulously put together as all the "Lehi" moms (okay, really I would try to put "some makeup" on, then somehow nurse, change diapers and settle my 2 month old into his seat whilst I find a way to get shoes and a barrette on my squeamish 2-year old, only to have to do it all over again before we get OUT of the car (which is all very hilarious)! Then I would tactfully plan every week for 52 weeks to get down to that pretty looking place with so many festivities, so we can have postcard memories and to also come home dumping tons of sand out of my 2-year old's shoes after a romp through dinosaur land. That is if she hadn't already did it in the car (which would add to the postcard moment) In other words from this really long comment (can you have long comments)? I would have 52 weeks of incredible fun and have a way to maintain my sanity (especially in the winter). So there you go Cjane. Verbal vomit.
We are moving to the Salt Lake area in two weeks and if we win the pass, we would go to the Dinasour museum. We really havent ever been to Thanksgiving Point so we are excited to see all fun attractions the area has to offer.
Pick me! Pick me!
My parents live in Lehi, and my mom has been bedridden for 15 years. Last summer she went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens, and loved it so much that she got an annual pass. The beauty of the gardens was enough to get her out of bed and out of the house several times a week during the summer. I'd like to be able to experience that awe-inspiring beauty on a continual basis.
We almost bought a family pass to T.P. for Christmas. Winning one would be AWESOME.
We love farm country and my boys are obsessed with all things dinosaur, so they'd be crazy about the dinosaur museum. They even know what fossilized Dino Poop is called: coprolites. Did you know that? Me neither. If we one, you'd make some cute boys (and their mom) very happy.
Love the blog, by the way.
Since we are currently living in AZ right now (although it most likely will change to Utah) we are in Provo visitng family very often. Then we could use the pass and let my parents have a moment of peace from my crazy 4! Plus my kids ask if we can go every time we are in town.
I would take my granddaughter to see the gardens when it is warm and I would just shop when it is cold.
I would love this! I have a three year old and a 6 month old. I'm currently working full-time, but hope to quit this summer and will need plenty of help to keep me and my boys busy! This could be great for our family!!
I blogged about this (sorry, my blog is private, but I swear I did it!) http://sbwhite.blogspot.com/2010/01/win-thanksgiving-point-pass.html?zx=5d40cebd9655cc4b
I LOVE the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. I always drool over the Secret Garden and can't wait until I one day a) have a house and b) can make my very own secret garden. I hope I win!
I don't live in Provo, but I'd probably share this with my sisters-in-law who live close by. And then I can go when I'm in town, too!
I love Thanksgiving point. So do my kids. And since we live in our parents basement at the moment (durn economy) we could really use the time out! P.S. Thanks for bringing one more smile to my face on a daily basis.
I want this for my sister. I had to live vicariously through her tulip festival pictures, but we went to the Fall Harvest Festival when we visited her in October. She has 5 kids and they love to go there.
Oooh, how awesome. I would seriously use this everyday.......from the gardens to the Dinosaur Museum. Every time we drive past my daughter asks, "Can we go to that Dinosaur Museum"....at which point I respond, "Um, maybe another day." It's just so expensive!
Oh my! I have been WANTING to buy a pass SO BAD, but can't really afford it. Do I need to win! My son is in a total Dino craze lately, so we would probably spend most of our time there. Thanks! Kodi
Please pick us. Julia (3) and Ruby Kate (1) would love to go everyday and I would love to go with them.
so, i did it, i posted about your awesome giveaway- can you tell i really want to win?
Great giveaway!! Thanksgiving Point would become our weekly destination with a year pass!
I love Thanksgiving Point and would put this pass to good use!
I don't know if I would be the best recipient because I might not use it as much as someone else, but last year I told myself that I'd go to the Tulip Festival this year(so I'm going...hopefully) and back when my husband and I started dating, he wanted to go to the dinosaur museum. That was 7 years ago. We still haven't been past the gift store. :) And we've enjoyed the Halloween festivities and the County Fair. I'm really intrigued by the coming Museum of Natural Curiosity and hope that turns out to be another amazing reason to visit.
I would love a pass to Thanksgiving Point Pass. I need more incentive to make the dirve down to Utah county to see friends and family ( I live in Davis County)
CJane, I seriously need this pass. I have 3 boys, three years old and under. I would DEFINITELY use this pass and be so grateful for it!! This pass would put an end to our cabin fever this winter.
Thanks, Christine J
I would love to do all of the fun things they have there with my kids.
I want to go see the dinosaurs! My cousin's husband actually builds a lot of them (I think that's his in the picture, the big T-Rex), and I haven't seen them in person. Sometimes he has them in his backyard until they get moved! Plus, my husband is in school, and we need cheap dates- we don't go on dates nearly often enough. This would be a huge treat for us!
I will not stand for this Lehi effrontery! I would use the pass to go see the dinosaurs eleventy-billion times.
I would love an annual pass! I have always wanted to go there, but it's too expensive. My kids would love it!
As of these last 2 years we've spent many an hour in the Bean Musuem. I love the Bean Musuem, my son loves the Bean Musuem and the best part is that it is free. That's why there have been months that we've gone at leat 3 times and weeks when we've hit it more than once. My son also loves dinosaurs(he even has dinosaur bed sheets). This pass would give a load more options than the Bean Museum, adding gardens, dinosaurs, living animals and much more. I could use a few more options.
I would love to take my little boy to all the fun festivities they do there all year, we can only afford cheap tuesdays, and the lines are so dang long we rarely make it! so I would love a pass to go anytime!
I would give this pass to my amazing sister in law who has a bunch of adorable boys that would just LOVE going to thanksgiving point!
Ohmygoodness this is the best thing EVER!! I'm a single mom and a science teacher so I would use the pass all the stinking time - both for my daughter as well as to gather new ideas for my classroom (the neverending task). My kidlet loves TG but we don't go much because of the $$. Oh man, it'd a be a blast.
Made the link from my blog after talking about the incredible burping sheep at thanksgiving point.
