Cocoa Bean Cafe

Chup, The Chief and I went on our maiden voyage to the Cocoa Bean Cafe today. Have you been there? What have you tried? Are you still enchanted with cupcakes?

I took a mixed box of cupcakes to my church meeting tonight. We all agreed the definite postive to these substantial treats is their subtle taste. Sometimes cupcakes pack so much sweet into a little space it can overwhelm the taste buds. These are not overly sugary cupcakes which is something to appreciate. My favorite was the s'more variety (admittedly though, I have a clinical obsession with anything s'more).

If you haven' yet, check out this cozy cafe in Brigham's Landing. Let me know what you think.

(I made some very bad typos)

I went to the Cocoa Bean for the first time last Friday. The cupcakes were amazing (keep your eyes out for a nutella cupcake with raspberry) and the hazelnut cocoa converted me back to hot chocolate. But I was hoping for more of a coffee shop ambiance; you know, somewhere to lounge around, have a great conversation, read a good book. Not quite there, but I still loved my cupcake

They have this in Rexburg, ID too and when I was going to school there was definitely there every week! Definitely try the ultimate brownie cupcake and the raspberry chocolate cheesecake one (the one with the nutella) YUM!

The cupcakes are delicious! The last 2 times I went in to get my craving satisfied they were very low on choices and did not have what I went in for. So...I would say that it is best to call ahead to make sure they have the cupcake you are salivating over so you don't have to leave unhappy.

Okay so if you love s'more have you tried Ben and Jerry's s'more ice cream? Oh my goodness! It's chocolate ice cream with a toasted marshmallow swirl with crushed up graham crackers clumps. The clumps are the best. If you haven't tried it you really need to.

Well, these just look and sound delicious. Are they similar to the ones found at The Sweet Tooth Fairy? I may just have to splurge the next time I'm in Provo.

I can walk to the original Cocoa Bean in Rexburg from my apartment and I just love it. I love the Dirty Turtle cupcakes and the Irish Cream Cocoa Bean. It's always fun to go because the workers love it there and the cupcake joy is just infectious. I think I'll head over right now..

I too was hoping for a little more of a coffee shop atmosphere, but the cocoa bean beverage was quite tasty and the raspberry nutella cupcake was divine. I too liked that it was not overwhelmingly sweet. We'll be back.

The CB is my favorite place to hang. The atmosphere is great and the cupcakes are to die for. Try the Better Than Whatever cupcake. It truly is...

After visiting many cupcakeries throughout the Salt Lake and Utah counties (yeah - something to be proud of!)I have ranked this as my favorite! Granted, i haven't tried all of their flavors, but I really really like the "Better Than Whatever", peanut butter cup, and madagascar vanilla.
I already have plans to return and try more. :)

Definitely a new favorite for my friend Michelle (a local cupcake conniseur) and I. We plan to have a weekly cupcake stuff your face and gab hour. My favorite so far, and I've tried 9 varieties (seriously...) is the lime coconut. It is DIVINE. I've got my magnet on my fridge so I know just when to go. :)

Glad to see there is finally a decent cupcake shop here in Provo! They don't sacrifice quality for cheaper ingredients and I'm appreciative of that! By the way, you have to try the lemon raspberry cupcake. It's awesome!

I went for the first time on Wednesday, and I wasn't all that thrilled. The cupcakes were good, but they were rather dry and crumbly, and I felt that they weren't that flavorful. I don't like cupcakes that are too sweet, but these cupcakes weren't sweet enough. I felt that all the flavor was in the frosting, and I just couldn't handle the frosting. I guess a little balance would be nice. A little more sweet in the cupcake, and less frosting on top.
