Provo Acoustic Sessions

Thanks to the always insightful Utah's People Post I am very much enjoying the Provo Acoustic Sessions. 20 music videos, acoustic musicians, Provo locations.

It'll make you happy.

Try it here.

(Seen above is Somber Party, with a Damien Rice-ish tune I am particularly fond of.)

(If you like something a bit more zippy try The Archer's Apple.)

Thanks to Dean Cheesman & co, plus Gary with UPP!

This was beautiful.

I have a sweet spot in my heart for this Provo place, and certain things you post here (like this) are just so very Provo that they're like time machines back to my BYU days. Those were really good times. Ohh, Provo.

That Damien Rice-ish man is my husband! Yep. :) This song is named after out little daughter, Eliza Eden. Somber Party makes amazing music, even if my opinion is a little biased! The video just made the song even more beautiful. It was done amazingly. Great job, Dean!

Good words can come from the most unexpected places. Thank you!

This song literally came together in ten minutes and is a result of collectively the most difficult times of our lives. Rather than brood I guess we decided enough was enough, that "everything's fine."

I think it has sort of become our mantra now.

Me again. Liked the video so much that I did a little post about the singer's style for a Manly Monday installment of my own.

Thanks for the inspiration, as always, cjane! :)
