Many Lands in a Curry

Go to Many Lands on 5th West, buy Chup's favorite Japanese curry called Vermont Curry "with a touch of apple and honey." (I asked Chup the same question you are asking yourself right now, "How can Vermont Curry be Japanese?") Take it home and make yourself a heaping plate of curry with potatoes, carrots and onions. I like to put raisins in mine. The Chief likes peas. Chup, garlic spiced chicken. After all is consumed, thank the gods of commerce that we have a place in our town where we can buy authentic Japanese curry from Vermont.

(And Hobnobs.)

p.s. Vermont Curry looks like this:

What is more fun than good curry?

MSG...Does it have MSG in it?

I have decided to devote this summer to making my own curries, from scratch. The Summer of Curries. Mmm...

Mmmmmmmmm. . . I love Hobnobs! My sister-in-law just brought me some from England. They're awesome with hot chocolate!

I went to an Asian market today to pick up our good old Mae Ploy curry paste. Well whaddya know, they had Vermont curry too! I picked up the Mae Ploy in Yellow and Green and the Vermont in apples with honey. Because what is better than a curry taste-test?
