A nod and a wink to SLAB for being daring--for pushing the creativity on these new slices. And hooray to a pizza joint slightly south of campus that isn't afraid to put goat cheese next to sausage and sell it like it's hot. Even the Fat Crust People can't argue with that slice of bravery.
Ultimately, my vote goes to the Rosemary Potato with Bacon. Seasoned with the spice and salt, the thin slices of potato compliment the thick slices of bacon. And what is that cheese dribbled on top? Ricotta? Feta? Goat? Cow? Cow?
So as far as favorites go, I'd still go with the Buffalo Wing, then the Thai Chicken with a Rosemary Potato with Bacon sliding easily into third. For someone who has spent most of her life and first pregnancy hating pizza as if it were edible communism (annihilate marinara sauce, somebody!) I salut SLAB for thinking outside the (pizza) box.
Next I'd like to see some pear, caramelized onion, Gorgonzola, walnut melody. Eric? Andy? Simy? You hear me?

Darin and I had all three of those top tastes just this weekend, as well as my standard (veggie, no olives). Our first time there. AND I got to see Simy, which is always such a treat.
I love Simy and ~j and Rosemary Potato and Bacon.
We were there this weekend too (and in ~j.'s company, lucky us!) and I'm here to tell you:
Order the rosemary potato and bacon, but ask very sweetly for a nice kick of garlic and some chevre added, and then you've got yerself a slab of heaven.
oh, yummy, yummy yum!!!! i love eclectic pizzas. different ingredients blended into a tiny slice of heaven. mmmm! my favorite pizza at a local pizzeria has fig jam as the base, proschutto (spelling?) ham, arugula, and gorgonzola cheese. so delish! i've made a home made pizza with caramelized onions, toasted walnuts and gorgonzola cheese once. it was divine. i love 'outside' of the box pizza too. nevermind the run of the mill pepperoni cheese pizza. blah! give me unique!!!
Today was all about me for mothers day and I decided to try out SLAB. It was very yummy. Rosemary Potato & Bacon by far my favorite! Then I headed over to Sweet Tooth Fairy for a cupcake for dessert.
